Right fielder Jay Bruce missed his fourth consecutive game Saturday with a sore right side, and manager Dusty Baker didn't expect Bruce back Sunday, and possibly not for the start of the next series at Colorado on Monday.

He didn’t walk any batters, and allowed only three hits in his six innings of work.  It was his first appearance since May 23 when he lost to the Cleveland Indians and was put on the Disabled List shortly after. This was probably his second best outing of the season

CHICAGO – The Cincinnati Reds held all-star second baseman Brandon Phillips out of the lineup Sunday against the Chicago Cubs because of a bruised left foot.
