The Reds have until midnight ET on Tuesday night to decide whether to offer arbitration to free agents. This deadline only really has implications for two of those free agents — lefty reliever Arthur Rhodes and shortstop Orlando Cabrera.

CINCINNATI — The Reds are expected to announce today whether they will pick up 2011 club options on Bronson Arroyo, Jonny Gomes, Orlando Cabrera and Aaron Harang.

All indications are that the Reds aren't likely to pick up shortstop Orlando Cabrera's $4 million mutual option. That doesn't necessarily mean Cabrera's stay in Cincinnati is ending after only one year.
